Homoeopathy is very useful in paediatric disorders. It has other benefits too, e.g. Children tend to like things which have good taste; other Medicines have Strong odours and bitter taste which are generally disagreeable to children; Homoeopathic Globules are sweet in taste and they do not have any odour so easily acceptable by children. Homoeopathy is very helpful in complaints like bed wetting, worms, recurrent upper respiratory tract infection (cough, cold, earache, otorrhoea and tonsillitis), weak memory, stunted growth.
Bed wetting
Night time loss of bladder control. Bed wetting can have causes that aren’t due to underlying disease.
Worms
Children are the most susceptible with the infection spread through worm eggs on contaminated surfaces. The common infection occurs due to Threadworms (Pinworm) which cause itchy bottom, scratching, red rash around the anus, stomach pain, loss of appetite; in girls, they can move to the vagina causing itching and vaginal discharge.
Recurrent Upper Respiratory Tract Infection
common cold, cough, ear ache, sinusitis, otorrhoea, tonsillitis and Allergic disorders are common in Paediatric group.
Weak Memory
Poor working memory makes it hard for kids to use the information they get in school. Working memory is ability to hold on to new information so we can turn around and use it in some way. Kids need this ability to perform well in school, e.g. your child might remember the numbers the teacher said to add 21 and 13; but she might not recall what she’s supposed to do with them, or she might not hold on to that sum of 34 so she can subtract 6 from it. Attention plays a big role in this process. Following practical instructions may also be difficult e.g. the teacher may ask your child to put her boots away but first hang up her coat, the child may only do one task or forget which one she’s supposed to do first. Your child may also find that the information she has remembered doesn’t make much sense. Because of her working memory problems, her brain didn’t package it properly in the first place. If kids learn information in a disjointed way, they have trouble using it later.
Stunted Growth
When a child fails to meet the expected height or weight for their age. It can lead to long term health problems, including difficulties affecting both physical and mental development. It’s caused by malnutrition, repeated infection or in some cases both.
